Canyon Bakehouse Bread

We do not try and review too many breads these days as our girls like to stick with some favorites like Udi’s and Rudi’s.  My mother-in-law makes bread for the girls from time to time as well.  We did find a new one to try recently at Earth Fare. Canyon Bakehouse (http://canyonglutenfree.com/) makes a variety […]

Lentil Crackers

Ok, I will admit right away I do not like lentils.  But I still tried these crackers.  I am quite glad I did, as they really just taste like a rice cracker or reminiscent of a pita chip, with less salt.  Mediterranean Snacks (http://www.mediterraneansnackfoods.com/products/lentil-crackers-sea-salt/) make these crackers, which we found recently at Earth Fare out in Brier […]

Bops Chips

Yeah, we all like chips.  For the most part, most come gluten free, which is nice.  While shopping at Earth Fare recently, we found Bops, Baked Organic Potato Snacks.  Great acronym, huh?  Integrated Organics (http://www.integratedorganics.com/index.htm) makes these chips, which are not as ‘turrible’ for you as regular chips.  They boast less fat, and oven baked […]

Earth Fare Muffins

One thing less convenient with living with Celiac is the inability to go into a bakery and pick up some already made baked goods.  Yes, you can find some gluten free items out there, but many of the places have not done well.  Remember Rosie’s Plate?  Fortunately, we continue to see this change.  While at Earth Fare […]

Three Bakers Pizza

Found another new pizza at Earth Fare the other day.  A 12″ brand by Three Bakers.  Three Bakers (http://www.threebakers.net/) also makes a variety of breads, including hot dog buns and rolls.  For their pizzas, they make three varieties, pepperoni, sweet italian sausage, and cheese, as well as frozen crusts.  These pizzas are similar to the […]

Pizza By George

Definitely continuing to see more and more frozen pizza options out there. We found these pre-made frozen pizzas at Earth Fare recently.  They do represent the first pre-made small pizzas we have seen, as all the rest come in either a medium or large size.  Like Three Bakers, which we reviewed recently, Foods By George […]

Frozen Pizza Crusts

Our family has a tradition of Friday nights being pizza and game night.  We usually pick up a zPizza or Mellow Mushroom pizza from the store.  Recently, though, we wanted to also let the girls make their own pizzas.  We thought about the gf English Muffins, but we cannot yet find a good type of […]

Better Bread Company Pizza

Another new pizza.  We picked this one up at Earth Fare recently.  Interesting design, and although I did not think our girls would eat it, they did and liked it.  Not as well as Bella Monica or some other frozen pizzas, but another viable option.

More Gluten Free Yogurt

When we recently went to another Kids Eat Free night at Earth Fare, one of my daughters selected Cascade gluten free yogurt.  As you can see on the side, they clearly mark it gluten free.  While we have not found it other than at Earth Fare, we definitely like seeing additional gluten free yogurts.  Yes, […]

Reed’s Ginger Ale (That Looks Like Beer!)

We recently went to an Earth Fare ‘Thursday Kids Eat Free’ night.  If you never heard of these, we reviewed it awhile back (http://www.raleighcelkids.com/?p=1764).  Yes, as many kids as you bring, they all eat free.  Pretty neat too, they get to do up their order, and pretty much all the choices can be made gluten […]
